It finally happened, the winds are good, the day is beautiful and we can travel using the sails!

Warning: Topping lift must be haul up in order to have an angle between the boom and the mast of 90 degrees maximum.
Reef 1

Slightly release the main sail sheet

Release the mainsail halyard to lower the tack of reef 1 at 20cm of the boom (attach the tack)

Haul up the furling line
-
Haul up the mainsail halyard if it is necessary so the tack point is approximately 10cm above the boom
Reef 2

Release the mainsail sheet

Release the mainsail halyard

Strap the tack point

Haul up the mainsail halyard

Haul up the reef
Reef 3
It is not rigged so bring the sail down.

Hoist Mainsail

Close all windows

Rain will collect inside sail bag

Have both engines turned on

Steer into the wind

Look for water ripples at 90 degrees into the wind

Wind vane top of the mast

Keep boat speed less than 2 knots

As slow as you can while maintaining control

Hold the steering wheel at zero position

Maneuvering with steering wheel does not work when speed is less than 2 knots speed

Pull halyard line manually at the mast and/or use the electric winch at the helm station

4 wraps on winch

Confirm there are no knots in the lines

Prepare lines

Position yourself so able to guide lines with one hand while operating the winch with the other hand

Wind the headsail on the winch and pull it out

Steer into the wind and maintain that heading

As slow as you can while maintaining control

Confirm halyard line is straight

Takeout of storage pouch

Arrange so no twists or knots

Put on gloves

One wrap of halyard line on the winch

Open clutch for the winch

May need to hold on to the halyard line until everyone is ready for sail to be lowered

Allow gravity to drop the sail

Manually lower rest of sail into the sail bag

Change heading so back on course
