I almost felt bad that I enjoyed kayaking around the anchorage and walking in the state park more than going into town. This is a beautiful place to anchor if you are looking for a chance to just enjoy the moment.
The town has a few small shops and plenty of restaurants. It seems to be a place for long weekends with a focus on fishing and relaxation.
Tiki Bar seems to the place where most people hand out.
Dingy ride from the anchorage by Myrtle Point Park is long and bumpy. Okay to do once buy no desire to do it again.
Unless staying at a marina, services are laundry and groceries are not easily accessible.
Mill Creek anchorage by Myrtle Point Park coordinates were 38 20.171 N and 76 30.164 W; boats come during the weekend, but overall is a quiet and beautiful place to be.
While anchorage by Myrtle Point Park, wanted to see if Blackstone Marina is good for pump-out and water …. Let me know if it is.
There is a pump-out at the Solomons County Dingy Dock; we did not feel we could get our vessel there, nor it would be long enough.
